The project includes the design and construction of a 200-meter commercial unit in the Palladium complex for the exhibition of Iranian carpets and handicrafts.
Everything started with the story of the carpet, and we decided to record a part of this story in the visual memory of the visitors.
The client had products on a very different scale to show, but in one opinion, we divided them into two major groups: carpets and handicrafts. At first, the plan was designed according to the vast needs of the client, from the dressing room to the jewelry display stand and the pallets for the placement of the handmade carpet, and then a carpet hanger was set up in the appropriate place. A rug was completed and drawn. Its threads twisted in the path and defined a movement circulation for the visitors so that Various weaving and knotting techniques can be seen in this whole path.
During the implementation of the project, we saw that this process was an exciting product. We decided to register the implementation techniques of the project. Therefore, the weavers’ hands were 3D scanned and molded on a scale five to six times larger to take on a sculptural form in space.
