The Iranian Capital Headquarters is a new corporate space designed and built by Persian Garden Studio. The client is a successful investing company planning to relocate its headquarters to a newly built office building in Tehran, with a total of 360 sqm combined in two separate units.
As the key design inspiration, Persian Garden Studio has focused on planning this project around the end users of this office, the office staff, the management team, and most importantly, the potential investors. This resulted in planning the space in three divisions, each operating separately and together in the best possible way.
“The Workspace” is a division designed for the office staff with an open office concept. The dynamic workstations, designed specifically for this project, act as an art display and workstation called “Artstaion.”
“VIP Lounge” is another division mainly used by potential investors. Meetings, events, and consultations with the management team occur in this space. Soft lights, high-quality materials, and fine finishes are put together in a way to create a luxurious ambiance.
“Management” is located in the southern part of the office, consisting of two management offices and a conference room. This area is designed to create privacy for the managers, and at the same time, the see-through partition walls and the visual connection to the VIP lounge promote openness and transparency.
These three divisions are connected together with a consistent design approach and fluid forms, which stimulates a sense of direction and visual stability throughout the project. An important element that acts as a connecting dot between these divisions is the “Reception Area.” This centrally located space connects the workspace to the rest of the office and acts as the company’s front face promoting transparency, trust, and prosperity. The hung plaster ceiling above the reception area, shaped like a house roof, is to resemble shelter, safety, and security.
As an initial construction step, all the internal walls and false ceiling elements were demolished, exposing the structural ceiling and mechanical elements. This doubled the height and let us create a visual attraction by painting the beams and exposing the metal structure. The existing HVAC units were relocated, and fresh air units were added in order to create high air quality throughout the office and ensure energy efficiency and green design.
