Farmaniyeh project, consisting of two sections, corporate and executive, is designed and built in a five story building. the initial design concept is to create an integrated yet sensibly divided space that reflects the importance of balance between translucency and privacy in design and operation of a corporate space.
the main director’s office, placed centrally as a glass capsule is a conceptual yet functional form that represent the value of transparency and visual connection between the users. the open office, meeting areas and shared spaces are formed around this central core, designed with attention to clear circulations and easy flow in the office.
translucency also reflects in using clear glass partitions to create the required open and closed spaces for diverse functions and activities within the space. custom designed metal wrap is added to the curved glass partition that functions as a door handle for all glass doors as well as visual design element that highlights the central core.
creating a dynamic space that boosts the creativity of the users and enhances the teamwork in the office is achieved by standard lighting, furniture ergonomics and use of natural plants. the obstacle of low ceiling heights of the existing building is balanced with keeping the millworks and workstations off the floor and creating the illusion of floating forms within the space. also the exposed ceiling which is painted in dark gray creates the impression of higher ceilings.
materials and finishes are specifically selected to aligned with the minimal design concept of the project while they are sustainable, durable and environmentally friendly.
